Plain iced tea is good. Iced tea w/mint is just a little bit more refreshing. Life alone is good. But sometimes life with someone you’re fond of makes life a little bit sweeter.

Wonderland Party @ Ruby Skye

This is the routine most nights after work. Go to Tonic with Mittens, have a mojito or two. + the required shot of tequilla or two. Subtract me not going to the gym in weeks = Fail.
So. much. SUGAR & TOXINS. & I feel my belly bulging on out. Halloween is about to be a shit show and not to mention I’ll be going to vegas next month, and the holidays are approaching. I need to step it up and get moooovin! Sigh. That, and try to avoid alcohol at least til vegas. Anyway, I had to vent because its exactly what I did last night & its a habit I need to break.
Dates are veryyyy sporadic in my life in SF. Don’t ask why, it just is. Many of my girlfriends & I are single and as it is this city is full of women with just a few sprinkles of men to feed the hungry.
Tonight is different. I’m going on a first date tonight with a handsome Italian boy I met at work two weeks ago. This would be the 4th guy I’ve dated since this year has started and that is surprisingly a good year for me! 10,000 points for me. woo.
Anyway, I always get excited for dates but when the actual time comes, I dread it. I dread any possible awkward silence/moments, possible sickness from dinner (I have a very sensitive stomach, especially when it comes to oily/fried/rich/dairy/basically anything that tastes good and is bad for you. plus I’m a pescetarian!), & well possible clumsy acts (I AM rather clumsy.)
At this very moment its 4:38PM & I have 2.5 hrs to get my mani/pedi, do my hair, makeup, run down to Flour+Water for reservations, & clean my room. I was very excited for this, but I feel things are developing w/another guy more lately and almost feel bad going out. However as they say.. “Don’t put all your eggs in one basket.”
So here I go with the even distribution. :)
Paul Devro WMIG Mix. On current rotation & I promise you won’t stop dancing.
Wow I’ve been veryyyyy slow at blogging here. I’ve been pretty busy but at the same time, I feel like I was really busy when I was still in school and managed to get things done. I technically should be having more time here now that I graduated.
I’ve been very unmotivated at getting a job although opportunities are floating around. I need to get out of this slump and push forward. I also need a great web designer to help design my website!!! (Anyone out there??)

Finally cut my hair. I hate taking pics of myself, so I did this with a quickness while I was lying in bed. I think its reminiscent of The Grudge. Anyway, I’m happy to say that now I have bangs again and my hair is actually at a good long length that I can wear it down. My awkward growing-out-my-short-haircut has passed on. No more samurai buns and hiding under berets and bobby pins. I’ve paid my dues and I will let my hair swish in the wind when I walk. Swish
I really need to update my mac. I’m probably the only one that owns one and is still running on Mac OSX Tiger. Tiger. Really? There’s already a Snow Leopard and I’m not even a Leopard. I need to get with it. I like to blame that for being the reason why I’m slow at uploading my pictures. My poor iPhoto slows everything down because it’s so damn slow and full of thousands of pictures it was never meant to hold. It’s bursting.
Oh well. On to other news. There’s actual boys running around in my life (I blame the dyke hair I was growing out for being the cause of minimal dates) and adventures awaiting. Now all I need to do is GMST (Get my shit together) and maybe I’ll even get a cool real job and I can stop making excuses as to what I’m doing at the moment (nothing) with my amazing BFA from the academy. M-O-T-I-V-A-T-I-O-N.
I need it.
Coco Before Chanel
Audrey Tautou couldn’t have been more perfect for the role. So dreamy..
I just got home after seeing Phoenix at The Warfield and I was blown away. Probably one of the best bands I’ve ever seen live..and a FAVORITE too. I got really lucky with getting tickets for $40. Tomorrow.. Talib Kweli & Res (really excited to see Res) at Yoshi’s. Looking forward to Chromeo (already taken care of) & Wax Tailor next month. Basically, living life.
And I normally don’t care for musicals but I need to see this. This is a musical based off the original 1980’s broadway production “Nine” and inspired by the 60’s Federico Fellini’s autobiographical film “8 1/2”.
